There are two waterfront restaurants 750m away as well as a swimming area in the lagoon and off a jetty near the restaurants. Beware of strong tides in the lagoon mouth. Two family eating places are on the road to town the centre of which is 6 km away.
You can explore The Heads on foot and access a variety of stunning view sites taking in the whole Panorama from the Outeniqua Mountains to the Indian Ocean. In season (June – October) Southern Right Whales are frequent visitors to the coastline and at times even enter the Lagoon.
Our nearest swimming beaches are Brenton and Buffalo Bay. Our favourite picnic spots are Jubilee Creek in the Goldfields Forest and Kranshoek overlooking the Indian Ocean. Both have lovely walks from easy to challenging.
Golf opportunities abound in the area the nearest being Knysna Golf Club (3 km) and Pezula Championship Golf Course (5 km).
